Thadeus Tinker - A man out of time?

Well this is my first attempt at creating a blog. Whilst I have attempted diaries and logs before (usually for professional reasons) I have never chosen to publish my thoughts, ideas, plans and activities so this is a new experience.

It is a product of my discovery of the world of Steampunk. I have long enjoyed science fiction and tinkering with devices, tools, materials and generally messing about. Couple this with a fertile imagination and a drive to be creative and I seem to have found a home at last.

Whilst not shared by everyone in the steampunk community I also admire politeness and good manners. As they say "Manners maketh the man" and "It costs nothing to be polite". The neo-victorian setting of the steampunk genre seems to be a suitable vehicle for such old fashioned values and virtues.

I cannot promise to publish here often or copiously but when I have the time and inclination I hope I can share.
